Draft
Privacy Policy
Status: draft for review · Effective date: to confirm
Not for publication yet. This is a draft covering only the early-access signup form. It was written from what the site does today, not from a legal review, and the items listed in section 6 still need to be confirmed.
01What this page covers
Right now this page describes only what happens when you join the PayOnGo early-access list from the homepage. It does not yet describe what happens when you create an account, save a business profile, issue an invoice, or pay an invoice. That fuller policy is still to be written.
02What we collect when you join the early-access list
If you use the form, we record:
- Email address
Required. It identifies you on the list and is the address launch updates would be sent to.
- Business type
Optional. Whatever you picked in the dropdown, or nothing if you left it on “Select…”.
- Consent status
Stored as “agreed”. The form cannot be submitted without the consent box ticked, so a signup always means consent was given.
- Consent timestamp
The date and time you ticked the box and joined.
- Signup source
Which page the signup came from. For the form on the homepage this is recorded as “homepage”.
- One-way code from your IP address
A scrambled value derived from the IP address of the device you used, kept so the same network cannot flood the form with repeated submissions. It is not the IP address itself.
03Why we collect it
To keep and manage the early-access list, and to send PayOnGo launch updates to the people on it. We do not use it for anything else on this site.
04Who can see it
Signup information is not displayed publicly. It is not shown on the website, and other visitors cannot look it up or read it from the app. Only PayOnGo’s own systems can record a signup, and only the people who run PayOnGo can view the list.
05Unsubscribing and removal
PayOnGo is not sending launch emails yet — email delivery is not switched on. When it is, you will be able to unsubscribe from those launch emails.
Until then, if you want your email address removed from the early-access list, email support@payongo.app and we will delete it. That same address is where to send any other question about the information this form collects.
PayOnGo aims to respond to privacy questions and removal requests sent to support@payongo.app within 5 business days. That is a response target, not a guarantee: it means you should hear back from us within that time, not that every request is fully resolved by then. A request that needs more work will be answered first and then followed up until it is done.
06How long we keep it
Early-access signups are kept until PayOnGo launches. The list exists so that the people on it can be told when the product is ready, so it is not deleted on a fixed schedule before then. There is no set deletion date at this point.
You can ask for your own signup to be removed at any time before launch by emailing support@payongo.app, as described in section 05. What happens to the list at and after launch is still to be decided and will be added here before this policy takes effect.
07Still to confirm before this is published
We have deliberately left these out rather than write something that may not be true:
- Whether the 5 business day reply target still holds once launch emails are being sent and the list grows.
- What happens to early-access signups at and after launch.
- Which service sends launch emails, and how the unsubscribe link will work.
- Whether signup information is ever shared with or processed by any third party.
- Whether this site uses cookies or analytics, and which ones.
- What security measures protect the list. No claims are made about this in the draft.
- The legal name of the business behind PayOnGo and the country it operates from.
- An effective date and a way to see what changed between versions.
- The full policy for accounts, business profiles, invoices, payments and card processing.
